You elected me to make a real difference in Clwyd North and to champion our towns and communities.
My team and I are here to listen, solve problems, and get results. I am on your side, working every day to deliver the solutions and support you need.
It is an honour to serve Clwyd North as your Labour Member of Parliament.
The people and communities of North Wales mean everything to me. This is where I grew up, where I worked, and where I’ve built my life. My family chose to make North Wales our home when I was five years old, moving from the North West of England, and I have been proud to call it home since.
My dad was a car salesman, and my mum worked in a supermarket. They taught me the value of hard work and treating everyone with kindness and respect. Those lessons shape my dedication to fairness, opportunity, and community.
Those same values guided me into teaching and public service. I became a primary school teacher because I wanted every child to have the same encouragement and opportunities I was given. Over 25 years working in local schools, I saw first-hand the barriers that prevent children from reaching their potential. My route into politics is rooted in those classrooms; witnessing these challenges every day inspired me to campaign for fairness, opportunity, and equity beyond the school gates.
Having been both a stay-at-home and working mum, I understand the pressures families face and am committed to campaigning for fairness, opportunity, and equity so everyone can fulfil their potential.
This insight inspired me to serve as Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for Education, Children and Families in local government – determined to make a difference across our communities.
My priorities are shaped by what matters most to local people: good jobs and skills, thriving town centres, and strong public services. I’m dedicated to helping everyone succeed – from digital inclusion so no one is left behind, to access to the right skills for work, and opportunities to pursue creative careers.
As your MP, I aim to be a visible presence across Clwyd North, listening, standing up for you, and working hard to deliver results – from supporting skills development to backing local investment and town centres.
